I'll start a thread with two ones I noticed over the past few months.

The Bills just simply are not playing too bad right now and they do have the hated Jets in town. It is going to be "Bills Weather" tonight with rain, possible snow, and higher than normal winds. UNDER might be worth a look as well but grabbing the 3 points in these kind of conditions is the better choice. New York is off a win last week and I am very happy about that as we had the Jets. But Sanchez is likely to have some mishaps against a pretty good Bills D. In addition, the visitors come into town with hurts all over their secondary and at the LB Position. Take Buffalo.

The game was played in Toronto.

Each team has seen the total go "over" the posted number a whole lot lately, but for a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the "under"

The Oilers are the worst team in the league and are coming off a listless 4-1 loss to the Senators.

They were outshot 39-19 which led Pat Quinn to remark; “When your forwards play the way ours did it puts a lot of pressure on your goaltender and defense. We didn’t win any battles. It would be hard to give any one of our forwards a good grade.”

F Patrick O'Sullivan, one of the top players on this club, left Tuesday's game with a hand injury and his status for this one is uncertain.

Important to point out that Edmonton has seen the total go "under" the posted number in a whopping 12 of 15 non-conference games this season.

On the other side of the rink: The Canadiens are hoping to win a fourth straight tonight.

Scott Gomez has been on fire of late and Montreal is poised to make the playoffs; second on the team in points and assists (38), Gomez recorded two goals and six assists in the last four games.

Keep in mind though that Montreal has seen the total go "under" the posted number in 10 of 15 games this year after a win by 2 goals or more in its previous contest; which of course means this team is definitely susceptible to an offensive letdown after a decent performance.

Bottom line: The Habs have also seen the total go "under" the number in 15 of 27 vs. teams with a losing record.

Jeff Deslauriers and Jaroslav Halak take centre stage tonight; when taking into account all of the above factors, I believe the sharp money in this one is indeed on the "under".

I saw one a couple of seasons ago. I don't even remember the tout, but he was saying that we should take Detroit (they were playing Miami) becuase warm weather teams have a hard time playing in cold weather situations.

Dumbass didn't even know Detroit plays inside.

There has been countless times I have seen wrong teams listed and spreads. Just reading through one days thread can give you some insight into how bad it is.

It's often hard to figure out what team they mean if a spread is not listed.

For a number of significant reasons I believe the Senators will take care of business in their own barn tonight.

Carolina kept it slim hopes alive with a titanic effort last night in Montreal, winning 2-1; suffice to say I believe the Hurricanes will be gassed this evening.

Cam Ward has been sharp since his return from injury, stopping all but two shots over two games, but he has a horrible 5.57 GAA in his last three starts in Ottawa.

If this clueless guy would check, he'd see Ward is not expected to start.

Carolina is on the second half of a back to back, so Ward is sitting, as expected.

This is some very valuable plus-money set up here with the Yankees, so grab it early as they send right-hander A.J. Burnett to the mound opposite Boston lefty Jon Lester in the second game of this rivalry.
The Red Sox took the season-opener against the Yankees on Sunday night when they rallied from 5-1 and 7-5 deficits to win 9-7. They scored four runs off the New York bullpen, including three off Chan Ho Park. He won’t be seeing the mound today as Burnett delivers a strong outing.
Burnett was 13-9 last season with a 4.04 ERA and other than two ugly playoff outings, he held the opposition to two runs or less in seven of his last nine starts. He faced these Red Sox four times last season and was great one night but lousy the next.
On the other side, Lester had four starts against the Yankees last season, but got beaten up on Sept. 25 when he allowed five runs in just 2.1 innings of a 9-5 loss.
New York is 9-2 in the last 11 head-to-head meetings with the Red Sox and 40-16 in its last 56 against the American League East, plus these guys know how to beat up a southpaw, going 38-16 in their last 54 matchups with a left-hander.
Grab the plus-money with the Yankees tonight and enjoy the easy win.

3-Unit Play #547 Take Dallas +4 ½ Over San Antonio (8 p.m. EST, Thursday)

In our eyes, this game has all the makings of a 7-game series. We are not saying there is any conspiracy or anything but we think the NBA wants this one to go to seven games and they have a way of making things happen that they want, if we have learned anything the last couple of years.

This guy is a real piece of work.
